Bristol, UK: 10th June 2019: Zeetta Networks has been shortlisted for the ‘Leading Contribution to Network Slicing’ award at the 5G World Awards, to be announced on 12th June, in London. This is the third award that Zeetta Networks has been shortlisted for in 2019, including the GLOMO Award for ‘Best Network Software Breakthrough’ and the TM Forum Award for ‘Disruptive Innovation Award’.

Zeetta Networks was shortlisted for its work on the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sports (DCMS) 5G Smart Tourism and 5G RuralFirst projects. In both projects, Zeetta Networks demonstrated dynamic slicing in a live 5G network. In the 5G Rural First project, Zeetta demonstrated the ability to “slice” transport networks. In the 5G Smart Tourism project, the company dynamically created a high priority, protected, Public Safety network slice to support the emergency services during an incident. At the end of the incident, the slice was “torn-down”.

Vassilis Seferidis, CEO of Zeetta Networks, commented:

“ Zeetta Networks is proud to have been part of the DCMS 5G Trials and Testbeds programme, and to have delivered such outstanding work for the 5G Smart Tourism and 5G RuralFirst projects that proves our global leadership in network orchestration through slicing.”

This week, Zeetta Networks has also released the latest version of its software-defined-network (SDN) controller software, NetOS which includes support for Cisco Meracki Wi-Fi Access Points. The team will also be demonstrating NetOS Rapide, for Deployable Enterprise Networks, at 5G World.

Zeetta Networks is working in partnership with TATA Communications Transformation Services (TCTS) on their Intelligent Network Slice Management Engine (InSME), which Includes Zeetta Networks’ NetOS and Dynamic Slicing Engine. To learn more visit them on stand 5G402

For those unable to attend, a white paper entitled “Beyond Vanilla Solutions: The next generation of network commoditisation” is available from the company.

The 5G World is held at Excel 11-13 June 2019, with over 2500 telecom experts and industry professionals attending. A range of high profile leaders will be speaking at the event, and you can meet the Zeetta Networks team at 5G312.

About Zeetta Networks
Zeetta Networks enables smarter networks. The company leads the development of open, programmable networks based on an advanced, patent-protected software controller called NetOS® that provides full network visibility, control, and management through a single-pane-of-glass.

NetOS® enables network splicing® of any combination of network technologies (Fixed, Wireless and low-power IoT) to create a single virtualised network topology that can be then sliced into network slices (sub-networks) on-demand to meet specific user or application requirements. The ability to dynamically slice and splice the network resources across wireless and fixed technologies is protected by the company’s patents.

Zeetta Networks commercially deployed NetOS® in several enterprise projects across Europe and successfully demonstrated 5G Network Slicing in early 5G testbeds like the 5G Smart Tourism and 5G Rural First projects. NetOS® allows enterprises and service providers to control their fixed and wireless networks seamlessly, driving operational efficiencies and creating new monetisation opportunities. With the additional of NetOS Rapide, Zeetta Networks has extended its NetOS® product portfolio to support the creation and control of ad-hoc or “pop-up” networks.
