Enable network agility to support the business
The ability to change swiftly and efficiently the configuration of the entire network brings many business benefits.
Consider, for example, the sports stadia. Traditionally, they were used once a fortnight during a limited season, and stood empty the rest of the year. Today, all modern stadia have been transformed into multi-purpose venues that support corporate functions, trade shows, conferences, concerts and other events throughout the year. This makes economical and logistical sense because it improves utilisation of the venue and leverages its transportation links and other facilities, resulting in a highly attractive proposition that brings many benefits to both venue owners and their customers.
However, fast re-purposing a venue requires an equally agile network infrastructure that can be reconfigured in line with the venue’s commercial needs without increasing formidably costs and reconfiguration time. Here is where network automation offers a solution.

Network automation
Network automation enables easy reconfiguration of the entire network by scheduling and automated deployment of groups of services on-demand. A group of services and configurations that supports a specific business use case is called “network mode“. Network modes can be created, saved and scheduled for deployment using Zeetta Automate.
Automate uses the concept of network mode to provide an intuitive, yet powerful, way to automate network configurations and deliver customised connectivity to businesses that require regular or frequent service alterations.
In doing so, Automate brings complete programmable control to legacy and next generation networks and drives down the cost of network operations while increasing business agility.
How it works?
Zeetta Automate allows the business to create their own network modes according to their operational needs. For example, in the case of a multi-purpose stadium, network modes could include “Football match mode”, “Trade show mode” or “Concert mode”. Special modes can also defined such as “Default mode” or “Emergency mode”.
Switching from one predefined operational mode to another can be done on-demand with the press of a button by the user, scheduled for a particular time or programmed to be triggered by an external events such as an emergency alarm.
What are the benefits?
Network modes in combination with the adaptation of services and device configuration offer a powerful way to manage bespoke modifications to network connectivity which could be temporary or semi-permanent.
Using network mode management and scheduling automated network changes Automate can reduce the roll-out costs by up to 50% and the configuration time by up to 90% . Additional benefit include:
- Non-operational staff – Improved productivity, improved venue utilisation, greater business agility
- IT/Operations – Reduced workload, reduced out-of-hours reconfiguration
- Finance – Improved revenue, lower cost of change (OPEX)
