Many of us have been working from home for some weeks now and I am sure most of use have experienced a way of working that we did not expect at the start of the lock down.

I was expecting to have very quiet days with very limited activity. In fact, I have had more meetings that ever in my career and they have been very productive. Unusually too many have included the customer and other suppliers or integrators. This has enabled us to put together innovative and complex solutions that have been of far greater value to the customer than any one organisation could have achieved.  What is more, many of these solutions can be sold to other customers as well.

So, lets welcome the new spirit of collaboration.

The advantages are clear for a small company, whose technology or services can only ever provide part of the solution independently: they get access to more impressive deals and increase customer entanglement. The customer has a clear advantage too, they can work with all the companies and technologies that they need and want, knowing that much of the contention is resolved at the start.

But what about the system integrators and the distribution channel companies?

Does it destroy their market if all the small companies get together?

Not at all. It is these larger companies that allow the collaboration to scale. Small companies have limited implementation and services resources and by working with larger distributors and integrators, the benefits of the combined solution can be taken to many more companies and organisations who need it.

So, everyone benefits.

It is for this reason that I am delighted that Zeetta have today issued a press release to say that they have signed a distribution agreement with Stordis. They are an international distributor/reseller of network related equipment and systems, based in Germany with a substantial presence in the UK.

This is a definite win for all parties, not least our customers.

So, Welcome Aboard, Stordis – I am really looking forward to working with you.

About Zeetta Networks

Zeetta Networks is a leader in the development of programmable, open ICT network infrastructures, made possible by the network slicing and network splicing® capabilities of NetOS®. With NetOS® at the heart of their network, an operator or enterprise can monitor and automate the management of their infrastructure and the services they offer their users from a single console, in real time and on demand.

Multi-Technology

The network splicing® capability of NetOS® enables a wide range of network technologies to be integrated within a single network topology, including optical, packet, Wi-Fi and even low power IoT radio protocols.

Multi-Vendor

NetOS® is designed to be vendor-agnostic, allowing it to interact with, and control, network devices from a multitude of different suppliers – preventing network owners from being tied to a particular manufacturer’s equipment.

5G Encode

Zeetta Networks is currently leading the government’s £9,000,000 5G Encode project, which involves a consortium of 11 companies from around the world including Telefonica, Siemens, Toshiba, Solvay, and Baker Hughes.  The two-year project aims to probe the use of Private Cellular Networks in industry, and test the use of 5G to improve productivity of design and manufacture: interactive augmented reality; asset tracking across multiple sites and locations; and industrial system management.
