Ian Jenks – Chair

Ian has more than 30 years of Board-level experience in the Communications and Industrial Technology fields, both as an investor and as Chief Executive Officer of companies operating in the US and Europe. He is currently Executive Chairman of Brady plc. and director of FTSE-listed Paysafe Group, Birdstep Technology and of Econic Technologies. Previously he served as the Executive Chairman and as Chief Executive Officer of Intune Networks and he was partner in Crescendo Ventures LLP, Chairman of Oplink Communications Inc. and President of JDS Uniphase Inc. Ian is an associate member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

Vassilis Seferidis – CEO

Vassilis has more than 20 years’ experience in the Telecom and Consumer Electronics industry. Before starting Zeetta Networks, Vassilis was VP of Business Development for Samsung Electronics responsible for driving revenue growth and strategic development of Samsung’s Consumer Electronics business in Europe. Prior to Samsung, he held executive management positions at BT, Toshiba, Philips, QIO Systems and British Standards Institute. Vassilis holds a BSc and MSc from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, a PhD from Essex University, UK and an MBA from Cass Business School (University of London), UK. In 2011 Vassilis was included in the Euro50 list of the 50 most influential people in the broadband and telecommunications industries in Europe.

Reza Nejabati – University of Bristol

Reza is a co-founder of the company, VP of Advanced Technologies and an industry expert in SDN and NFV. He is a full Professor at the University of Bristol and leads internationally-recognised research on programmable telecom infrastructure in the renowned High Performance Networks Research Group. He has been instrumental in defining the company’s technology strategy and strategic partnerships. Whilst attracting significant venture capital investment for the company, he has also built the development and engineering teams for the company. As an academic he has written or co-authored over 300 peer reviewed papers and several standardisation documents. In 2016 he was the recipient of the Charles Kao award in recognition of his pioneering work on SDN for optical transport networks. He is a research associate in ONF and currently involved in several UK EPSRC and European-funded (Horizon2020) research projects.

Manjari Chandran-Ramesh – IP Group

Working in Venture Capital for early stage university spin outs, Manjari has a focus on robotics, AI, and Machine Learning. Her experience in business strategy and development is extensive, with technical and market due diligence expertise in particular. Her previous experience includes working as a technology transfer manager for commercialisation of early stage engineering and software technologies specialising in IP protection, innovation strategy and incubation of new ventures. Earlier, she held a post-doctoral researcher position in Computational Linguistics Group and a college lecturer post in Engineering, both at the University of Oxford. Manjari was a Rhodes Scholar and has a PhD in Robotics.

Andrea Baldini – Breed Reply

Andrea has more than 15 years of global experience in business and technology strategy, project and people management, research and development, and all aspects related to venture capital investment process, including deal screening and analysis, due diligence, investment negotiation and closing. He has worked and studied in the technology sector in the USA for over seven years, and the finance sector in South-East Asia and Europe. His geeky fondness for technology and science has led to business and finance experience (investments, growth, processes, MBA at INSEAD), people and project management (data-center energy solutions, cloud computing, network storage), and sound technical background and research experience (MSc, PhD, research in testing and networks).

David Leftley – Bloc Ventures

David is co-founder and CTO of Bloc Ventures. He has more than 30 years’ global technology industry experience in start-ups and multi-nationals as an engineer, manager, director and investor in the areas of defence, television, film and telecommunications – most recently at Vodafone where he headed Vodafone’s European corporate venturing unit.
